Multiple OS
Learn which Operating Systems you'll be able to run on your server.
An Operating System is the fundamental software which manages a computer. It controls the way your hardware functions, the communication with peripheral devices like a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between various applications, and the prioritization of applications when multiple ones run at once. Any program which is installed on a notebook or a desktop works by sending requests to the OS for different services using an application program interface (API). The contact with the OS is possible through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the Internet hosting field, the OS is what runs a web server as well as all of the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but also every other application such as a VOIP or a game server. When there're virtual machines created, they work with a guest OS that runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide as many as 3 different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs on the market and we offer all three of them instead of only one as we realize that you may want to install some software that has specific requirements for the Operating System it'll run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a huge support community behind it and there are different software applications you may install on the web hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS if you wish to use one and that's why we offer multiple Control Panels too. Should you decide that you need some other OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the existing one and install the one that you need. In addition, we offer an optional service to maintain the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're free so they will not increase the low price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are really secure and stable. Each one of them is backed up by a huge community of developers, so you'll be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you could install on your server if the app that you would like to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and since we would like to give you as much versatility as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you get a server with a given Operating System, we will change it upon request if it turns out that you need alternative one. We could also keep the OS updated on a weekly basis as part of our additional Managed Services upgrade.
